Africans have the power to break boundaries in their leadership and it appears that Nigerians are taking a chance this time around. Falz, the Nigerian rapper, has said in an interview with Osi Suave, the Nigerian OAP that he would rather die fighting for a cause than getting knocked down by a biker on a road where there’s no proper traffic control.

Falz, whose real name is Folarin Falana, was addressing the state of the nation and stated that Nigeria needs a general change. He opined that there are lots of bright people in the country who are not being given the opportunity to shine and it was time for a change of leadership in the country.

Falz gave his affirmation that he would rather die fighting for a cause than live in a country where people are deprived of basic necessities and the future is unpredictable. “Why would I fear for my life when the kind we exist in is not exciting. Basic amenities are unavailing. Every Nigerian is one small sickness away from either going broke or passing away. What kind of life is that?”.

Falz concluded that Nigeria needs a generation of leaders that would be ready to fight and die for the people. He noted that the current crop of leaders is not ready to take Nigeria to progress. Falz urged the youths to be focused and unafraid to push for change. He concluded by saying that the only way Nigeria can progress is if the youths work together to move the supposed Giant of Africa to realization.
