The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Vice Presidential Candidate Screening Committee has announced that Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State is fully qualified to be the running mate to the party’s 2023 Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar. Ifeanyi Okowa has been a member of the PDP since 1998 and was elected Governor of Delta State in 2015. He was re-elected in 2019.
Given the economical, social issues and security issues of Nigeria, the citizens are going out of their way to change the electoral system of the country. The voter registration exercise has experienced an influx of youths from all over the country register to vote.

During a briefing with newsmen on Thursday in Abuja, the Chairman of the Committee, Chief Tom Ikimi, stated that “The business of this committee is to ensure that he has the right qualifications” to serve as vice president.
The committee may be confident that Okowa has the experience and qualifications necessary to serve as vice president and put Atiku Abubakar at the edge of winning the election in 2023 but what is the stand of the majority of Nigerians?
